Can I ask a question? Why complain about only getting 80 down? Thats still 40-50 more then boost.
Also how many people on your network downloading things will slow down speeds and things like that . |

Would you prefer they offer it to everyone but static IP customers, saying "I'm sorry, but since we can't yet offer you ultra speeds, you are not allowed to upgrade higher than boost"? Because they should have made it very clear you would be getting reduced speeds before you signed up. I'd be concerned if they didn't. |

Every time I call Cablevision and discuss bandwidth they state that there are no guarantees. With this service you don't get a bandwidth SLA. It can variable and comes without guarantee. If you had an OC-3 which comes with a bandwidth SLA, you'd get 155 all the time with very little variance.
Of course you'll pay between $20K-$45K for an OC-3. |
