| sorry guys not to be, inside info both trunks are 100% full but a resolution of another trunk is being added 1st week of july. I've been working to get the pipes balanced for a temp fix til the new is up and was told they can't balance due to capacity (a first I've had it done each of the last 7 months but since its so close to turn up date is why I think they won't do it, its very time consuming from what I've heard). Its ok overnight and early in day but as more traffic starts to flow its like rush hour in the mixmaster. sorry I'm just as bummed as you are no cod5 for awhile. |

| reply to davidpo Well its the first week of July and still piss poor speeds.I do have a tech coming monday,but seeing as how after midnite my problems usually disappear. I'm not really sure it will help.
I just dont get it they were suppose to have this fixed in June,and how long does it take to install one of these things anyway?
If I didnt live in the middle of no where Chandler I'd have switched to something else.The phone prices from embarq is crazy expensive. |

| reply to davidpo i have 5meg service - getting about 200K tonight. just got off the phone with embarq. once again the explanation is that it is a network problem and they are working on it but no time estimate for a fix. this has been going on for more than 2 months now. speed is good one day - lousy the next. in may we were told that the problem would be fixed by early june. it is now july and embarq is still screwed up. |

hey david i live in chandler also on the lake on just off of 315 and northland cable has a bundle but only a 8 meg connection but for just 10 or 15 bucks more you get cable tv also with a bunch of channels,high speed internet and you phone for like 145 a month. they do have service in my area so you should be able to get it also i would think....i havent switched yet but im really close.....i have had this type of problem with embarq for over a year now...one day everything is fine and the next can just barely connect to the internet. |

1 edit | reply to davidpo I have sat so cable is out of the question the picture quality is terrible. I did a speedtest getting a bit over 1 meg and ping is under 100 atm.I've not even played wow lag is just too bad.
Between this and not being able to get back on at Trane I'm starting to think moving back from Houston was a bad idea. |

| reply to davidpo All of east texas is in bandwidth exhaust due to two trunks which are at 100% capacity and can't handle anymore traffic. I'm a gamer and an employee and feel it to. Were waiting on a new trunk to open up, turn up date has been set as july 8th although I've heard rumors of trouble and might be pushed back a week or 2 just can't get the facts. If I get new info I'll gladly post it. But that is the issue I have no reason to lie about it and it will be fixed. Give it a little more time it's coming. |

| reply to davidpo i hear ya about playing WoW...i play CS: Source and its my daily thing I am also a server owner and admin over 3 different gaming servers that i cant even connect to hardly and when i do it is so lagged its not worth the time to even stay connected....bottom line...THIS FREAKIN SUCKS!! And yeah David I agree they should have know the trunks were reaching capacity and had another setup ready to go online before we all reached this point. Ohh yeah and the houston thing...i used to live in spring/woodlands area in Imperial oaks development..shoulda stayed there i guess...hell we would be running on FIOS right now take care man and good luck. ttyl |

| reply to davidpo sorry - i have no confidence that embarq will actually solve the problem anytime soon. in may we were told that the problem would be fixed by the first week of june - now it appears that they are saying mid-july (maybe). at best this whole mess looks to be some pretty poor planning by embarq. at worst embarq is selling services that it can't support. i am frustrated because up until the past few months I have liked my service and would have recommended it to anyone. embarq owes an apology to all of its affected customers but you can bet we won't get it. i guess i will have to check into cable modem service - they are offering higher speeds anyway. by the way - my speed tonight is about 500K on a 5meg connection. |
