@embarqhsd.net | reply to davidpo Same here, also in Chandler, TX. For about a week now I'm lucky to get 0.5 MBit. I am also 10 MBit. They keep telling me that more people have to call in to be sure it's not just me. What a joke. |

| reply to cjsturch The issue with the OC48 was cleared when a card was replaced in the DATA POP that peers with Level 3. Traffic was rebalanced along the 2 OC-12's in place and that is why you are seeing normal speeds again. However, there is still the issue with another 3rd OC-12 being installed which will resolve the issue with peak hours latency. |

| reply to Tarheels Fan Mine looks better this morning than it has in a long time. Actually getting the speeds I pay for this morning. Curious what it'll be like tonight when there's more traffic though.

| reply to chazz13 Chazz - completely understandable. I refer you to Hazy Arc on this board who had problem for several months as well in SC. He thought it would never be fixed. It finally was as these upgrades/repairs take lots of time and planning...
It would be great to have all of this done before slow downs happens. The problem is, bean counters don't like to release funds until problems do happen. |

| reply to davidpo tarheels fan - i appreciate the info but i think you will understand if i don't share your confidence. we have been told for several months now that full service restoration was just a few weeks or days away but nothing happens. perhaps embarq can get it done this time but i have just about given up hope that they can actually solve the problem. |
|
Tarheels Fan Premium join:2006-01-05 | reply to chazz13 I agree completely. I think service will be restored in a day or two with some slow downs during peak hours. This is where the 3rd OC12 kicks in which is still being installed by the contractor. |

| reply to davidpo Engineers are working on it as we speak.
Have you heard, when it rains it pours. There are multiple issues going on. Cards are being replaced in data pops and fiber is being cleaned. There is also a signaling issue with some vendor equipment that needs to be upgraded. They are not just sitting back, rather working on this around the clock. The engineer working on it yesterday (and today now) was up for 20 hours trying to figure this out... |
