It's true there may be an additional charge in the future ($5/mo maybe?), heck telus might even lower its prices from $8/MB (it would surprise me tho)... Anything is possible. Starting in Q4 2009 Globallive will open for business, and if they kept any plans like what was leaked in May the RobberTelandHell Cartel will be in big trouble.

7.2MBPS HSDPA on the same spectrum used by T-mobile (1900mhz) in the states. Prices like 39.99 for 500 day Canadawide, unlimited E & W/E at 6pm. No SAF, and only 12 month contracts, or PPU offerings with limited phone incentives.

RobberTelandHell will be forced to respond in price.

Apparently the iphone is not exclusive to Rogers, the problem here is Telus is part of the big 3 cartel, I cant see Telus being anymore generous then Rogers.
As the timing goes just maybe Telus will have to make some kind of a peace offering because Globalive has targeted a GSM start up around October (give or take).
As much as Id love to have an iphone, its starting to look like things are going to heat up in the next little while, just maybe right now is not a good time to buy the iphone even thought there is a 6 gig promo around for a limited time, is there anything Telus can offer that is different such as a 1 or 2 year contract, Telus just loves 3 year contracts as much as Rogers, but for many people the 3 year contract along with SAF is a deal breaker , I love the iphone, but I can take it or leave it.
