| I tried the suggestions in the URL listed by Chesire to no avail. The below steps cited by boncrop were followed precisely.
"So the trick is to connect the router and disconnect just the dsl line from the back of the router, by this way you can access the »gateway.2wire.net/management , now go there and go to reset and reset the damn thing or edit it, that will solve the problem, at least that worked for me, connect the dsl line again and have fun "
Upon disconnecting the DSL line, it still asks for the password before one could make any modifications to the modem. I could access the screen gateway.2wire.net/management but that's about it.
The idea of using the 10 digit wireless key didn't work either. I tried putting that in the password window, to no avail. It looks like as if I have to ring tech support or toss it. |
