Maybe There are two problems, first is the telus iphone won't be able to fall back onto the CDMA network, whereas the fido/rogers iphone can fall back onto GSM. Secondly, tethering on telus costs $8 per megabyte, whereas with fido/rogers it is included in the data plan. Telus still can't compete.

It's true there may be an additional charge in the future ($5/mo maybe?), heck telus might even lower its prices from $8/MB (it would surprise me tho)... Anything is possible. But as it stands now, tethering is included on all data plans above 1GB.
