End of anyhting you encrypt as IBM says it can ....

well go read the article in the link.
Sounds to me like they made a tool that can basically given a lil more work SPY ON ALL ENCRYPTED DATA KNOWN TO DATE

No. That is not what IBM is saying. With the new method of encryption data can be processed to produce an encrypted result without ever knowing the actual source data.

Encrypted data -> processing -> encrypted result
vs the old way
Encrypted data -> Decrypt -> process -> encrypt answer

Yur missing the point. IF somebody would to use "fully homomorphic encryption" THEN and ONLY THEN and ONLY on this encryption would the IBM solution allowed to retrieve the encrypted content without identifiying the origin or destination.

This is NOT retroactive. So, sleep tight and do NOT use any encryption algorithm that is "fully homomorphic".

NO your both missing the point if they can do this then the data cold be then interpreted by some app gathering source , anyone whom cant see that is misleading people, and IBM don't want you to think up new ways to encrypt so go believe the two above

read the article they claim to be able to do this practically now for all encryption

You're getting into tin-foil hat territory again... IBM's breakthrough has to do with NEW types of encryption that INCREASE security when encrypted data needs to be processed. It doesn't affect existing encryption, and it never will.

In other words, please stop [with your paranoia] while you're ahead.
