I would be very sorry to see Rondo get traded as I think he will eventually become one of the best point guards in the game and with the Big 3 getting older he is the future of the team. Even though it's hard to believe they would trade him, I think if they go through with it, what it means is they plan to go after a big free agent in 2010, like Lebron or Wade.

And one of those free agents would be replacing Ray, since his contract is up in 2010 the same as Lebron and Wade. It seems far fetched but if they are considering trading Rondo you have to assume they are considering it. You would imagine that if Lebron left the Cavs, Boston would be a much more desirable place for him to go as oppose to the Knicks... playing for Doc and alongside KG and Pierce or the hellhole that is the Knicks organization... which would you pick?
