amigo_boy :
said by PX Eliezer :

Yet with the 20 dollar MagicJack, people will never give up, and will spend many hours of their valuable time on endless quests.

I don't get it.

1. They're given the impression it will work. You don't see too many people throw out the things you mentioned in the first 2-3 months. They go back for a refund (MJ doesn't refund unused time).

If MJ advertised that it's dicey, and may not work, and MJ won't refund your unused time, maybe people would have their mind right going into it. (Or, not go into it to begin with.).

2. Some people like to tinker with their computers (more so than tinkering with their DVD player's laser.).

3. MJ can save a lot of money under the right circumstances. That's a big motivator.

4. A common refrain among MJ users is "I've never had a problem. Neither have the 200 people I coaxed to use it. It must be *you*. You're doing something wrong. Or, your computer is messed up."

I don't believe the people who say that. I can't believe that *anyone* who's used it for 2-3 months hasn't had a single problem.

MJ tends to create the "True Believers" and the "angry pitch forkers." There's no middle ground. If the True Believers were more balanced, maybe people having trouble would be more inclined to throw in the towel. But, when you're constantly told it's perfect, and it must be *you*... that contributes to the trying more.

Mark

MJ is a great bargain for $1.70 a month. But, it's not very reliable.

I get emails about a voice mail that isn't present (when I call voice mail).
anon : So we had issues when we purchased MJ back in January but since have had great service through another VOIP service.
Since we already distributed the MJ number I set it to forward to our other VOIP number and has been working great till today.
So with call forwarding enabled the called gets a message stating "Test call placed was successful" and then it hangs up.
If I turn off the call forwarding the calls then go to my voicemail.
Not sure why this started happening today but not happy about it.

Anyone else having this issue??
