Re: BAINCH, I have a question pertaining to phone service/repair said by thedragonmas:question. if you DONT answer the phone does this still happen? asking because i had a similare issue. only when some one called the phone would never ring, but it did pick up. thing is. it was none of my equipment doing it. turns out it was a bad jack. "question. if you DONT answer the phone does this still happen?" - Yes, when this issue exists, I try the *69 feature and still get the busy signal. That was corrected at the head office in the past, although the dropped call issue wasn't able to be resolved at that end.
The phone rings ok, even when I have an expected scheduled call coming in such as my broker call back. I can call out ok as well. About it being jack/wiring related, this is what I was afraid of, although I have a gut feeling it's modem/ switching related.
Thank you for the post. I'm keeping this thread handy for the service tech to view. -- 0111000001100101011000010110001101100101 |
