anon posted : Don't bother. U-verse is full of problems. I had it for 6 months, had 5 service calls and finally went back to Cox. Their tech team always blamed the previous tech, but the problems were never solved. Very irritating. My house was only 150 feet from the main box, but still it sucked. The U-verse picture is better though...

djrobx posted : DirecTV has a real iPhone app too.

But, DirecTV doesn't have two-way schedule management. They simply allow you to select a recording, then send down a signal from the satellite that says "Record this as a series" or "Record once". There's no way to confirm it went through or manage conflicts (or even know if there is a conflict).

AT&T's is much more advanced, allowing you to see what's scheduled and make whatever changes you need.
--
AT&T U-Hearse
Your funeral.
OSPE posted : I downloaded it this morning. Works as advertised - I deleted some old stuff as easily as using the U-Verse remote. I like it a lot better than the current web manager, but I think that's getting overhauled at some point.

That counts as far as I am concerned, not everything needs to be an actual "app" - afterall that's what the "real internet" was supposed to be on the device, right?

Of course the app is cool and nifty but still, the idea of remote schedule DVR isn't new or inventive on their part.
--
TheGlobalMind.com / Speed costs money.
