Re: Hmm wifi on ferries? Yeah it WAS big news. Stephen Harper used the $4 billion raised in the auction to make the budget look good for one year. The big players scooped the majority of the spectrum, and the new players paid so damn much that when they fire up their first concern will be recapping the cost, not giving subscribers a deal. Compound that with the onset of tight money and the prospect of any real 'competition' is bleak on 3G.
Scratch that as a feed.
The ferry routes are over 20 miles, and wind through channels in the Gulf Islands.
I'd feed a couple repeaters on those islands with 5.8 from Victoria on the southern routes and from West Van on the Nanaimo/Sechelt route instead. |
