anon posted : I'll take your word for it: I do have popup's disaabled in FF. The solution I offered came from Hughesnet tech support. I guess they thought it was simpler than having me change my FF settings, but they never asked if I had popups disabled.

It's far from clear what "it worked on other modems" means...what modems? other HN7000s's? different models? on the same pc?

papa

dbirdman posted : The popup issue has to do with popup settings in FF or with popup addons. Either a person's settings have problems, as yours did, or they don't. When it works on one modem as mountainfrog says his did, it will work on any modem.

Commissioning with FF works fine for me, every time, and I've done it a lot!
--
W2K Server|Toshiba Satellite XP Pro|iDirect 3100 on Datastorm 1.2 meter XF3 with 4-watt BUC|HughesNet G28/1070/7000s Pro on 2-watt Datastorm G74|Sprint Air Card|1990 Blue Bird Wanderlodge Bus "Blue Thunder"|Author of PC-OPI and DSSatTool

anon posted : Becasue it doesn't work on mine. Firefox failed to complete the commissioning, after several attempts I switched to IE and it and it worked with no problem. There are some pop up windows near the end of the process that don't "pop-up" in Firefox.

So, you have sucessfully performed a recomnissionong of an HN7000s with Firefox?
