Re: [Line Problem] DSL Statistics / Problem with Line?
I found a cool new page.
DSL Line (Wire Pair): Line 1 (inner pair) Downstream Rate Cap: 7040 kbps Downstream Atten. at 300kHz: 50.1 dB
Uncancelled Echo: 26.6 dB Suspicious - check phone filters and alarm VCXO Frequency Offset: -23.9 ppm Ok Final Rx Gain: 21.4 dB Ok Impulse Noise Comp. Tones: 45 Suspicious - impulse noise detected Excessive Impulse Noise: 0 Ok Impulse noise protection: 2.76 Delay of latency path: 15.95 ms
WTF is Impulse Noise? Plus all of the filters are on
If the problem is STILL present even at the NID (You plugged it directly into the test jack, right?) then aside from a potentially faulty DSL modem, bad grounding somewhere or a bad phone cord, the problem is on AT&T's side.
As for the impulse noise, anything from a bad dimmer light to bad grounding somewhere can cause this issue. -- ISP: CableOne 3 mbit/300 kbit
