Re: Connection/Re-location Fees waived.

I know when we moved about 6 years ago they were going to charge me a reconnection fee. I laid out the fact that I had been a customer of theirs for years etc etc and the lady flat out told me that it was unavoidable. When I told her the cable was already on I questioned what exactly needed to be reconnected.
In the end I asked for it to be waived again, and again they refused and I told them to cancel my service and hung up. They called back 30mins later and said they would waive it.

Cogeco has actually surprised me for the better....

When we moved to our house a few years back from an apt they gouged us on a transfer fee and a connection fee. This time around, no charges. We moved to a rental apt about 6 weeks ago until our house is finished and no charges on the bill showed up for the hookup. That was after actually canceling before our move. Then calling back saying we would like service again. Now, they say they are not charging for our move out to Ridgeway. Is this a sign of the times to come? Taking care of customers and being extremely friendly on the phone? My wife had commented to me how great they were when she called back after canceling and also today she said they were phenomenal. Knock on wood these are not isolated incidences and this becomes the status-quo again.

Now if they would only back off on the overage charges they would have completely satisfied customers!
