And the cop is seriously injured.. He is having surgery tonight on his leg... I actually know him personally (the PD force is only about 25 strong in HH). This town is very harsh on allowing new businesses permits for any form of construction. It took Sonic over three years to gain permission from the town to build.... Just saw on Eyewitness News that a HH cop directing traffic in front of Sonic on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights was seriously injured after being hit by a car on the highway within the last half hour... I was stuck for over half an hour because of the traffic...all from Sonic...and i think they only open at 6!  And what made me laugh was the two stores before it (sleepys and a car dealer I think) have hand written signs one saying no parking for sonic and will be towed and the other says $25 one hour sonic parking or immediately towed!  that made me laugh.]]></description>
