[FireFox] Is this happening to any1 else?

I have the latest build of FF3.5, and it keeps CRASHING.. I goto certain websites, like geeks.com, amazon.com, aldifoods.com just to name a few, and it crashes on those sites... I did a FF in safe mode with no extensions, and it STILL crashes... Thank you very much for all the replies.

This morning it has crashed exclusively on paypal site. Offered crash box info to be sent to Mozilla. Additionally, upon booting up computer, yesterday's tabs lost.

No problems here.

You might want to try backing up your profile and reinstalling Firefox. Something is obviously borked.

I don't know what OS you're using, so I'm going to assume windows. If so, then close FF, then click on the windows start button, then run and enter:

firefox.exe -p

this will bring up the FF profile manager. From here, create a test profile, and start FF using that profile. Does FF crash in that?

Re: [FireFox] Is this happening to any1 else?

Thanks for the exe suggest/yes, still crashes after the test profiling. However, after returning it to default, was able to reposition tab closing feature to the left. Since FF v...3.5.3 tab x was on right of tabs..

Reading the links provided, the problem was traced by some to the Shockwave plugin not playing nicely with the newly revised Paypal script. Mozilla can't fix that.

Have you tried disabling the plugin?

it doesn't sound like a problem with firefox, but more of a windows problem. What do the crash reports say? Try starting Dr Watson and see what messages you get from that. From run enter:

drwatson.exe

Just have it running in the background, and when FF crashes, you should get a report. Tell us what Dr Watson says about the crash. Don't copy and paste the entire stuff, just what says caused the crash.

Yes, crashes on PayPal have been noted by others including myself.

My 3.5 RC2 keeps crashing. First 2 or 3 links work normally, then if I click on another one, it DIES.

3.0.11 & 3.6a1pre don't.

Re: [FireFox] Is this happening to any1 else?

Did you create a new Profile for Fx v3.5 RC2?

Are you forcing any extensions or themes to work with it by either bumping the extensions maxver.rdf or using Mr. Tech Toolkit?

Have you started Fx v3.5 RC2 in Safe Mode and if so did it still crash?

Re: [FireFox] Is this happening to any1 else?

Latest version of Java, Flash and Shockwave (if used).

If Java disable the Java Qucik Starter and see what happens with the crashing.

I did read about some issues with the latest flash causing Fx to crash. If you look for "Flash Issues" over at MozillaZine Forums there are some threads on it.

Mine crashes clicking the magnifying glass as well; however, it does not crash when running in Safe Mode. So, apparently one of my extensions is causing the problem at that site. This is the only place I've seen it crash... I went around paypal and amazon.com without any problems.

Re: [FireFox] Is this happening to any1 else?

My problem was caused by Ad Block Plus. Disabled it on »www.wetanz.com/boromir-son-of-de···-figure/ and it stopped crashing when clicking on the Magnifying glass. So if you have ABP, try adding that site/page as an exception.

Confirmed.

I disabled Ad Block Plus and it no longer crashes on that site.

Confirmed. Clicking magnifier crashed Firefox 3.5. Disabling AdBlock+ for the site fixed the problem.
