When you call, make sure ask cc how much does the monthly bill cost after taxes and fees.

Another thing I noticed as did many people on this forum - different rep has different understanding of the package. When cc sold me the digital preferred w/ hbo, rep told me $44.99 is for 2 years, no $10 for second year. I called in once and another rep confirmed it.
Comcaster912 : Fuziwuzi,

You get part of the cable through the building? I know sometimes its a bit much as for pricing, but this might be the reason why you arent able to get Promos for Cable (though you can get for CDV and CHSI, if its available in your area)...

Some buildings, that have cable included, have contracts with comcast. So part of the package is included with the apartment. If you paid $18.95 for basic to your building, you couldnt get Digital Starter promo, because it would be $29.99 as a promo. If you got it, ud be paying $48.94 (18+29.99) more than the promo. Building contracts can be pretty tricky, especially with each building being different.

I know one question is "couldnt there be a way to make promos for Buildings with contracts?", well currently there isnt.

One other thing, is if you currently pay for service through the building, your lines are active.
Lion84 : In metro Atlanta. Talked to Comcast agent and the HD-Plus Triple Play deal only waives the HD "equipment fee" of $6.95/mo on one box on the account, for one year. The website states "Free Hd - no service or equipment charges" but that's evidently not entirely true. Did not ask whether they would honor the deal for an existing subscriber but knowing this now I want to do some recalculations. It is so frustrating that they do not specifically state the level of service associated with each package. "HD Plus" is same as Digital Preferred but they add HBO. Since I don't really want HBO that's not a driver for me.
