I use CIS and like it. I do however do not use the AV component of CIS but went with Avast. No problems.

I would second that. Comodo minus its AV but plus Avast should be pretty solid. That leaves Comodo in both firewall and HIPS roles.

Comodo tends to get in your face a lot initially and after anything has changed. You need to make informed allow/deny choices.
