If USB, maybe you have USB keyboard option turned off in your BIOS, go check your BIOS settings.

If you can, try and keep a spare keyboard around for such issues.

Also, try a different USB port.

If PS2, your PS2 plug could be messed up, that happened to me, the wiring inside the plug went bad due to being bent.

My keyboard responds during startup, I can enter the bios, but when it asks to press any key to boot from cd, my keyboard power is gone, and I cant select it.

I tried installing windows again clicking on the setup file from windows itself, but I want to replace my old version, and when i try to delete the partition it says it cant because it has files on that partition needed for the install. I assume thats because it is installing from windows itself, because i cant boot it from the cd. Can anyone help?
