Re: WRT160NL LinuxPowered is here. Can a WRT610NL be far behind? Both devices are already linus based - dd-wrt runs great on them.
Possilble reason for this announcment is that they may be planning on offering a neutered version (vxworks, less mem) much as they did with the WRT54G. The WRT54GL is the linux version. |

DD-WRT does support some Atheros chipsets (i.e. Accton's La Fonera line-up), though I can't think of a Linksys device that has used Atheros before. The OpenWRT people seem to be salivating over the design, electronic design that is (physically it has all the appeal of a soap dish) so if can be done they will likely be the first to port a working firmware. |
