Re: How do I get into config my 2200 modem? No 198... IP

yeah, tried to browse to the IP address and GW and nothing happened. When I browse the IP, it comes up and says internal server error. Their tech support...well, is probably the lowest level of support i've ever dealt with. They said as long as I'm connected to the internet, there's nothing they can do for me.

Check the your internet gateway address from the output of
ipconfig /all
Then browse to that IP.

It is possible that your 2200 has proprietary firmware for a particular ISP that prevents access to the configuration.

Hello -

I'm currently staying in a room that has DSL with a modem. The modem is a Westell 2200 with WindRiver software (so the label says). It's an older model B90-220030-04.

My problem is it browses the net just fine, but will not let my webcam run. I know the webcam works, at least on a wireless network, because I've connected wireless at a hotspot since I've been here.

I tried the 198... to try and configure, but it doesn't come up. When I did an ipconfig, it comes up with a 10... IP address. Tried typing that in too, but nothing.

Anyway to get into the modem and change the settings? I'm sure it has to be something like that to make the webcam work.

Thanks for your help.
