[Help] Netbeans only shows Standard Free Form Project?

Netbeans only shows Standard Free Form Project?
I am about ready to give up, I have heard how great netbeans is. I downloaded version 6.5 and JDK 6.0_14, both files are in my program files. Its missing every other option except Free form project what am i doing wrong please help?
