Tradewind CV Noi Ka Oi Premium join:2005-11-08 Marlboro, NJ ·Optimum Online	speedtest.net I noticed that during a test run I see on my status bar that data is being sent to »speedgauge.optonline.net/. I guess they are gathering stats on dl/ul speeds. -- Trying is the first step towards failure.

Thanks for the info. It's funny that when I had the field ops supervisor over my house I asked if they knew what peoples download/upload speeds were. At first he said no, then he said that there was a way but didn't elaborate. Perhaps speedtest.net is the way.

It's likely that they use some network management solution to monitor bandwidth associated with different IP addresses. This product comes to mind: »www.netscout.com/products/perfor···=hp-pnav

kickass69 join:2002-06-03 Lake Hopatcong, NJ	I used to be able to go to that url directly to do my speed tests instead of speedtest.net until they required a username and password now.
