Man, and to think we went 20 years in the Riverside and West Covina areas in SoCal without Central Air (we had a couple of window units, but that was it), it sure makes a difference here in the summer!! It'll still be warm, but more normal temps and not this upper 90's to low 100's junk.  It cools off into the low 50's at night, that's one thing I like about this area, unlike the Central Valley where it stays warm all night. It's actually been cold (low to mid 40's) at night here for the past week or so, they've even hit the upper 30's in Laytonville.<br><small>--<br>You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything.</small>]]></description>

Lassen Volcanic National Park here in CA is another, very few visitors compared to other parks.<br><br>We've spent many a good summer in Island Park, at Mack's Inn Campground and Buffalo River Campground, and through Yellowstone. Definitely a sleeper area that most on their way to Yellowstone pass through. <br><br>The Sawtooth range and Island Park are under represented on a national scale, but that is a good thing, no crowds.<br><br>The picture is a free NFS camp north of the Tetons on the upper Snake river wilderness. Nothing like you, a couple other campers, bears and wildlife, and no cell phones for interruptions.]]></description>

That's one thing about our area unlike Lake County or further inland, if there's a strong enough onshore flow it will stay cool even in the middle of summer, however, Lake County can get some ocean influence as well if the flow goes inland far enough.<br><small>--<br>You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything.</small>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/610550"><b>RR Conductor</b></A> : It was 100 in Redwood Valley today, I'm sick of this heat already! :D  Thankfully we get a nice, moist cooling onshore (we're 28 miles inland) flow at night, so even on the hottest of days it cools down into the upper 40's to mid 50's.
