 CPDN-Server problems

Re: News
by mo.v » Wed Jun 24, 2009 4:59 pm

Upload server phkup21 which is located in Bern, Switzerland, was down for two days but is now fixed. It is hardly used except for storing a small amount of data so Milo thinks that very few people will have been inconvenienced.

However, climateapps2 has gone down this afternoon and Milo is working on it now. This server provides a wide range of services including the CPDN-BOINC forum, account and model web pages and scheduler requests. Requests for new models are producing messages like

24/06/2009 17:50:23|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 250285 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
24/06/2009 17:50:45||Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
24/06/2009 17:50:46||Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
24/06/2009 17:50:48|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request failed: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)

24/06/2009 16:42:01|climateprediction.net|Message from server: Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance

If necessary please suspend BOINC network activity at the moment if you can.

As of today it is supposedly fixed but have not seen any updates to personal or team stats.
Our team stats are still the same as they were two days ago.
They might still be playing catch up.
We shall see.
