one way to check is to run a long telephone mounting cord from the modem all the way outside to your network interface. You can unplug your house wiring at that point and you will then be able to plug in only your modem. This will tell you if any problems are inside of your house. Yes, the trouble COULD be inside. Be sure to run this check with and without your router attached to the modem. I wish I could shoot your trouble on site but I am retired from AT&T since March and this is an easy fix IF.....you can get a qualified service tech that is not scared to spend too much time on your job task. You see, they are graded like little kids on speed and production and there lies the problem. Also why I got out of that ratrace after 38 years. GOOD LUCK |
