Hi mrpoe,

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. When you say that you are loosing sync can you be more specific? Are you being disconnected from the game? Do you actually see the Sync/DSL light on the modem blink?

If you are just being disconnected from the game server and its a specific game server you may want to provide some ping and tracerout tests to the game server IP (which you can get from the game company) and we will have a better idea of where the problem might be.
I am losing DSL SYNC, meaning the DSL SYNC light on the DSL MODEM is going OFF. I'm not just losing the connection to the server.

Hi Mrpoe,

If the DSL light goes off it has nothing to do with the game or game server so you would have to troubleshoot it like any other intermittent sync issue. Check the inside wiring and make sure you have nothing connected without a filter. Make sure the modem itself is not filtered. Make sure you are using a short phone-cord for the modem and avoid using a splitter in the jack the modem is in. If you would like me to take a look at the line I would be happy to if you want to send me a PM with the account info for the account in question.

The modem is the only device plugged into the phone jack in the room I have it in.

My telephone in my living room is connected with a filter.

This sync loss issue is something that has shown up in the last week or two. I haven't had(or noticed) this problem before.

DN STREAM LINE CAPACITY The line is running at 51.0% of relative capacity on downstream transmission path.
UP STREAM LINE CAPACITY The line is running at 55.0% of relative capacity on upstream transmission path.

Line readings look good. The line is experiencing some errors. The shorter the phone-cord may help. Have you tried leaving that one phone that is connected unplugged and seeing if you still have the problem? If you continue to have issues please give us a call as we will likely need to create a trouble ticket with the phone-company or try a new modem.

I will try the short phone cord first, then unplug the phone next. If I still have trouble, I'll be back to report.
