You gotta be kidding me. They are selling recordings of kids in an arcade? Converted from cassette tape to mp3? Not what I thought it was.

I was disappointed as well. I was expecting a high quality recording of a typical chiming arcade.

It was just a low quality recording of some children and some barely audible video games in the background.

It does not sound like an arcade at all.

This is a sad sad pathetic link.

Here is a link to something more like what I expected this to be. The guy made tracks for 1981, 1983, 1986, and 1992 using a combination of Mame and real world recordings to combine multiple tracks of game sounds and ambient sounds such as the hum of actual arcade machines and indistinct background conversations to simulate the sounds of an arcade.

The arcade ambience project is an attempt of mine to simulate the audio ambience of a crowded arcade room during the golden age of arcades in the 1980s. This is a sound I think that has been lost over the years and does not exist in today's pitiful arcades in my opinion. My main motivation for this project was to create some ambience in my basement arcade, having a somewhat authentic arcade background hum while I or my guests play on my MAME arcade cabinet. I thought that maybe others who have cabinets (or just miss real arcade nostalgia) could also benefit from my work.

And so it goes in life.... one minute everything is coming up roses the next you are being torn apart amongst the thorns.
