| My DSL connection via Cincinnati Bell & Packet Loss
My DSL connection (Cincinnati Bell's Zoomtown) has been unreliable for several months. At first I thought it was my DSL modem and I had it replaced. It kept doing it. So I replaced my router. It kept doing it.
Suspecting packet loss, I did a ping to a couple of servers, increasing the packet size to 512 kilobits and doing a 20 turn ping. After 5, I would have 0% packet loss. After 20, I had 5% packet loss. My average latency was 107 ms.
So I came here and did the line test. Here are my results:
»/linequality/nil/2536615
I must admit I'm not able to read this chart, or maybe I am, I haven't looked at one of these before. If anyone could help me out here, I would greatly appreciate it. It's been a very long time since I've done any kind of networking as a hobby, and helping me figure out what's going on with my internet connection would be great.

| Looking at that, I can't see any problem whatsoever. No packet loss on the fuse / zt side and the only instances of an trouble are on level3 backbone -- which honestly doesn't concern me one bit. Maybe a better description of what you're trying to accomplish would give me more insight as to what advice to give at this point. |

| reply to avidan2006 Well, I'm just trying to figure out what's going on with my connection. Both wired and wireless systems in my house drop the connection (at the same time), or it resyncs, and CinciBell said they "fixed" it this morning, but it's still resyncing and dropping the connection.
I'm trying to narrow it down to the source, to bad wiring, to software issues, hardware failure.
