The problem with a slow version is you don't get done watching it for the first time and think "how did he do that?". It just looks like a guy sliding his feet in a weird way.

When someone does it fast, it looks awesome. It tricks a person's brain into thinking he's walking forward while moving backward, and it takes a double take before people actually look closely at the feet and see how it's done.

^^ the moonwalk at the beginning of that with the spin to tip-toe move at the end is epic

BTW, go to 1:30 in this video for a better representation than that weird OP video. ;P

i think MJ was first to call it the moonwalk, instead of the backward slide or whatever... anyway
