Re: Volume proglem on tv OK what is you STB set to output. 5.1 will not sound right on a 2.1 set. If you change the aidio output to standard stereo the problem will likely much diminished though movies always have higher dynamic range than standard often even compressed standard TV.
Meaning movies have quieter lows and higher highs, where as standard TV tends to be alll concentrated in a narrow volume range.
Also why many think ads are louder... many are compressed alll into a very narrow range at the high end.
