Re: New Router, D-link Or Not D-link?

I've owned the 604, 4100, 4300 and the 4500, and I think Im done with D-link purely because of the wireless performance which is terrible. The 4500 was working pretty good lately, but got the deothentication wireless error after about 4 days in, which completely disconnects wireless.

Anyway, I'm looking for a new router, I see D-link have a new router, 855, but after reading some responses on the beta forums it looks as though it has the same problems as all D-link routers that have been made in the last 5 years or so - wireless errors and full disconnects.

If I don't buy a D-link wireless product what would any of you advise? Linksys, Cisco? I keep hearing decent reports from these, but I really don't want to jump from one to the other if the problems are the same as D-link wireless routers.

Whats the best performing router availible right now, for wired and wireless, but specifically wireless?
The DIR-685 is supposedly good but honestly I wouldn't waste any money on any D-Link product. For every fix in the firmware they break two more things. QA is nonexistent. Buy a nice wireless N access point, gigabit switch, and run pfSense or smoothwall on a spare PC.
