Re: Moving In July 09

I know Centurytel has some properties out there. Maybe you should double check with them?

While I am no expert about TV over IP, by any means, I would hope it is seperate. But, I don't know if it is, or not. I only know what they have said to me on the phone. And that is, the "signal" comes in through the phone line to the modem. From there, a line from the modem goes to my router for their blazingly fast 3 meg service, and 3 other lines will go to the TV's.

I was thinking of doing the above, purely to save some money each month. As I am currently paying $101.xx for phone, long distance, and internet (5 meg), plus $140.xx for DirectTV (premium package). The phone company in Missouri, where we are moving, will be charging $151.xx for their services.

I will look at their services before deciding which way to go on the TV part.

Here is a URL that explains what they are doing to provide both DSL and TV to their customers. Maybe you all can understand it better than I do.
