anon : My mom recently bought a used 2Wire modem to use with her Qwest internet service. One problem, though, the last 1 or 2 digits of the serial number are scratched off (it came with a stand that fits right over the serial number sticker).

I tried installing the modem, and entered the serial number in using digits 0-9, thinking something would work, but it didn't. So, it must be missing 2 digits at the end.

Is it possible to recover the serial number somehow? All the other numbers are intact.

Thanks in advance!
