Re: [ Extreme] Utorrent issue: SMC Wireless modem from Extreme

I'm assuming you've got your network goes like this: Internet -> SMC -> Linksys -> Your PC.

The manual for the SMC8014W-G shows how to turn the modem/router into bridge mode, but it appears to be disabled, or at least with mine it is.
The only problem I've had with the SMC router is a wireless printer that I recently bought was killing the connection, but other than that, it has worked fine. So, I would suggest not using the linksys and just going ahead and forwarding the ports on the SMC router.
If that's not an option and you still want to use the Linksys, then you can forward the ports to your Linksys router, on the SMC router. Just find the external IP address of your Linksys, probably on the status page of your Linksys, and forward the ports on your SMC router to that.
I've got my network set up with a DLink like that, and it works great.

So, to summarize, either don't use the Linksys at all, or get on the SMC and forward the same ports to the Linksys (which will in turn forward to your PC).
