2 edits | Atomic Clock Sync Version 3.0 on Windows 7 64 Bit?
I use a clock syncing software called Atomic Clock Sync Version 3.0 but I have just started using a 64 Bit OS and Atomic Clock Sync Version 3.0 does not work.
Anyone know why?
I like Atomic Clock Sync because it does not need to run in the backround. It really just changes the registry settings.

I still see too many things not working in 64bit.
Can you try running it in compatability mode or something?

And it works great. I just went into the Windows registry and changed the settings to update every 5 hours and restarted my PC. And sure enough it worked.
Can't get much more simple then that  |

I have tried all of my software on Windows 7 64 Bit and to my surprise everything works great except a few issues.
1. Atomic Clock Sync Version 3.0 gives errors
2. VSO Image Resizer does not show icon in the right click context menu
3. and this is a big one at random times clicking on My Computer,Network and other folders causes a Windows "Not Responding" issue and then crashes Explorer 
I have no idea what is causing the crashing. My only guess is a hardware driver from Intel. Or some other driver perhaps. Or maybe it could be a bad install of Windows 7 64 Bit? I don't think any software I run would cause this.
Its going to be hard to pin point it and just hope Winodws 7 64 Bit RTM will not have this issue.
I have always used 32 Bit OS's until this week. I was always afraid that a lot of my software would not work on a 64 Bit OS but I happy to say I was wrong.
I will be using 64 Bit OS from now on.
I just hope these little issues I have will be worked out soon. |

As with any new OS, it'll be some time before all the kinks are worked out and the software/hardware vendors have software updates and/or hardware drivers that are 100% compatible with Windows 7. You can bet the forums here will be full of issues like yours once this thing goes RTM. There are just too many variables (hardware, driver and software combinations) to expect this thing to be issue-free. |
