 | LCD hit by lightning A friend has a 21" LCD that died recently after an electrical storm. It didn't take a "direct" hit, but died after a close lightning strike.
It cost her $300 to buy.
Do you think it's worth trying to get fixed, or just buy a new one? -- Certified Medisoft reseller. |

 | Yeah, I don't know if they had it on a surge protector or not, but I'll remind them on their new one. -- Certified Medisoft reseller. |

| Since the monitor was fried, it either was unprotected or had a really low-quality one. Most of the good ones have guarantees that will replace equipment if the protection fails. They're available at places like Dell, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, and better local home electronics stores. -- There is no giant fur-bearing trout. |
