Re: Watering restrictions in your neighboorhoods?

For about 2 weeks at the beginning of July we had boil water notices of and on. They even had signs leading into the neighborhood telling us when the water was ok. We would have a very low water pressure event and you just knew someone was scrambled to put up the boil notices again. I wonder if they have invested in flip signs for that yet. In the last few days the signs have come down and things seem to be returning to normal.

Hopefully the bits of rain we have been getting will become more persistent.

Got a bit myself. My city called the land line and talked about mandatory water restrictions for 3 days in a row.

I live in the city of Houston and haven't heard anything about restrictions. I have been only watering plants in pots, and not much else. The lawn is showing a little brown, but not as bad of some of the neighbor's lawns that mow theirs too low and too often.

The City of Round Rock changed our watering schedule last year from once every 5 days based on the last digit of the house number to twice a week, based on house number. So, ours actually got better.

just got a notice from Fort Bend MUD stating we are going to have to water our lawns by following the guidelines of odd and even house addresses...

I sure hope it rains soon..
