| buying non-telus Speedtouch 516 modem?
If I buy the generic (i.e. non-Telus) Speedtouch 516 modem, will it just plug and play with Telus (Turbo)?
They gave me a 2wire at installation and they didn't have a speedtouch but I want the speedtouch because I want to setup my own router.

If you buy a non Telus speedtouch you will have to run through a quick setup wizard. It's very easy. 
If you give a call into Telus and speak to customer service you should be able to get them to send you out a speedtouch modem. Just word of warning. Some reps will tell you it will not work with some of the higher plans. They are wrong... Basically you might have to sweet talk your way though it..
