That is v1 and runs the latest firmware.

Well thanks for that. As I said previously, I can't see anything on the "bottom label" other than the MAC number and a serial number, not even a model number much less a "v code".

When I log into the router configuration with my browser this is what I see ...

The bottom label should have the V# or you can log into the web configuration and see there as well as what firmware it is running.

Sorry, this is likely a stupid question from a simple noob.

I'm brand new to home networking and just installed a used RP614 that I bought locally. Everything is working fine, I just want to check to see if I have the latest firmware.

When I went to the Netgear support/download page I am presented with choices for RP614v1, v2, v3 and v4. I have no manuals and can't seem to find any indication on the router itself ... how do I tell what v# I have?
