Re: Baby Cardinals I was driving today - 3 blocks away from my house - and the sight of 18 bluejays sitting on overhead lines actually scared the s**t out of me ! Shades of Hitchcock's 'The Birds' 
About 5 miles away from me - even in the city limits, albet not as 'corporated' as my city - wild turkeys (HUGE ones), have been seen wandering on the 'berm' of a street. Granted the area is bounded by woods...deer have been known to dart out at various times of the day and day...so those that normally drive on that street/road have learned to drive slower than the posted 'turkey/deer/duck/geese' signs that the Highways Dept has so thoughtfully posted years ago.
