My powerboost is still essentially gone on the downstream, although I still hit 9-10mbps upstream. Your modem log doesn't show the following or similar?

Well that's too bad that they are locking down the CMTS's. With D3, it shouldn't be necessary and it was helping to give the illusion that Comcast was faster that it really is for short downloads.

Oh well. As long as you fine folks keep renewing my promo pricing while we are in this economic slump, I don't mind.

You missed the point. As an employee, why not go direct to your employer(Comcast) to address any issues?
Because employees also get last priority for service calls. You should have seen how long it took them to get my service transferred 10 miles down the road. I put it in three weeks in advance and they still didn't show up for the install and I had to go in two hours late to work three days later so they could get it done. Meanwhile, I'm selling customers triple plays with HD/DVRs (which for some stupid reason increase required install points that almost always pushes installs back a day or two from an SD/DVR or a regular box) and they're getting installed two to three days after I put in the order.

Just because I'm an employee doesn't mean I'm above customers. Customers get first priority for anything.

That's the problem though. It makes people think they have a faster connection and therefore don't need to upgrade to a faster tier. Its all about politics. Everyone is in this need for speed war and when someone who has a 6Meg connection is posting 32Meg speedtests, obviously it looks to them that they're getting 32Megs. Why pay 20 dollars more for 16 if you are already getting 32?

Thats a good point. I was disappointed to see my speed tests drop from 32 to 20, but now I can sustain ~20 on highly seeded torrent files for at least 150 MB. Overall its a better deal than the short 30meg burst we got before

Yeah the powerboost definitely lasts longer. I ran testmy.net's 100MB test and it gave me a sustained 20.5Mbps result whereas it was always 16-17 before.

Just because I'm an employee doesn't mean I'm above customers. Customers get first priority for anything.
Well, that's a shame your employer can't balance customer needs with employee needs. Makes me grateful I work for a company that knows the benefit of not only taking care of the customers, but understands that if you keep your employees happy, the end result is a better company/customer relationship.

Well I definitely like a longer sustained Powerboost. I would like to see this jump to 500mb or more eventually.

I've had almost the same problem for the past 2 months, they were doing upgrades for the D3 rollout and killed my signals. Originally my problem was upstream they came out and ran a new line from my house to the box didn't get it in spec but alot better than it was. A few weeks after that I get a surprise visit from a tech saying that my levels were not in spec (duh) and he was going to try and fix them, I have a booster on the main line into the house what he did was split the main line by passing the booster for the line the modem is on because the booster affects the upstream signal. That fixed the Upstream now I have a problem with downstream the modem seems to be fine its running around 36SNR and a power level of -8 to -11, the internet's fine. This was 5 or 6 weeks ago, the tech told me there were going to come run a thicker line from my house to the box and turn up the signal for the whole street. Since then nothing has changed, like I said the internet is fine its the TV in the same room as the modem I can't even watch it, its fuzzy.
