I have Blast! and used to see speed test results (Powerboost) in the ~30Mbps range. Even though the email I got claims download speeds of up to 20Mbps with Powerboost, I am seeing zero Powerboost. Speed test are showing a solid 16Mbps and no speed increase at the beginning of the download.

Though I can't say 100%, I thought my upload was on QAM64 as well, but am currently showing QAM16. Overall signals look good.

So much for the "upgrade." Maybe I can get Comcast to "downgrade" me to my previous speeds.

Sigh... and all this after going 5 days with no dial tone and no internet. Well, that's a shame your employer can't balance customer needs with employee needs. Makes me grateful I work for a company that knows the benefit of not only taking care of the customers, but understands that if you keep your employees happy, the end result is a better company/customer relationship.

Because employees also get last priority for service calls. You should have seen how long it took them to get my service transferred 10 miles down the road. I put it in three weeks in advance and they still didn't show up for the install and I had to go in two hours late to work three days later so they could get it done. Meanwhile, I'm selling customers triple plays with HD/DVRs (which for some stupid reason increase required install points that almost always pushes installs back a day or two from an SD/DVR or a regular box) and they're getting installed two to three days after I put in the order.

I had terrible signals, and they did eventually fix them. I was at +15 dBmV downstream, 33dB SNR, 55 dBmV upstream. We had a 5 hour outage today too. Prior to today, I was hitting about 50mbps powerboost and 9-10mbps upload powerboost. Now it seems powerboost is completely gone :(

As for the downstream, I guess powerboost is capped now. Never used to be. Oh well, that's life.

Its still getting T3 timeouts though.

Its not the downstream I'm worried about... I want my upstream back. I do a lot of upstream work. Torrenting Ubuntu ISOs for example.

Oh well, we'll wait and see if it stabilizes. I posted in the ComcastDirect forum about it... I'm going to tell my modem to reset to factory defaults and pull everything again and see if that makes a difference.

Yes you can never compare your areas D3 to another with how they got theres going so fast, there can always be problems they run into, and it can take time to fix, and etc. So i wouldnt freak out right now atleast. Well did you hook up your own d3 stuff or did a tech do this for you? because if a tech didnt do it.. I would definitely get one out and check your signal levels. Because -12/-14 is on the edge, and still -9 directly to the modem. You want the close to 0 as possible, and being where your at now is shitty for D3.
I should at least be getting what I was getting before. I've had a -12 to -13 signal since they hooked it up and they pretty much said there is nothing they can do about it.

I don't think its a signal issue. I was pulling 32 down and pushing 11 up previously on D2 with the same signal strength and my download speed should have at least increased when I removed the -3.5 splitter in the living room.

Well did you hook up your own d3 stuff or did a tech do this for you? because if a tech didnt do it.. I would definitely get one out and check your signal levels. Because -12/-14 is on the edge, and still -9 directly to the modem. Give it time and they will come out with models that have 8 channels, but the provider must give 8 channels to bond. I just think it would have made more sense to drop equipment that could support 8 channels out of the gate.

Anyway, D3 is on in Lakewood... But its absolutely KILLED my downstream speeds and dropped me from 64QAM to 16 on upload.

They're still doing maintenance out here though so hopefully it gets fixed soon. My internet was out ALL last night and they told me that it would be up at 6:30... noticed my modem was flashing trying to get online when I woke up, unplugged it, plugged it back in, and I got all excited when I got the blue light... then I realized that my speed dropped dramatically. BOOOOOOOO!

They must be working on something because I can't pause 21Mbps...
