it's actually illegal now in nyc for cable companies to have monopolies on neighborhoods.
so if CV agreed to service you, there should be nothing stopping them.

Aww shuck i was hope to get optimum since their price and speed was the cheapest and fastest. I guess i've give them another call to see what they do about it.

The deal is the technician came and check for wirings on the side of the building(i live in an 2 story apartment) and he said those are only time warner wires so i cant recieve it here. He also hasnt check the roof yet since my neighbor is at work and you can only reach the roof from his side. I called back to cablevision and the lady told me i should be able to recieve it both optimum service.
