Re: Is BBC America coming to channel 109 Can someone tell me what is so good about BBC america? I have it with comcast on channel 114, and I never watch it. I dunno maybe I dont care for it since I never watch it, but they do not play anything else on there except for everything Gordon Ramsey. I would take all of cv hd channels tho in exchange comcast will give you bbca -- Comcast of New Jersey (Union II)- Only 39 HD channels and paying for what seems like over 100 hd channels. |

And I love britcoms. |

The major problem with BBCA is that except for special events (Such as the Week of July 20 showing of Torchwood Season 3-Children of Earth which airs on BBC UK the week of July 5) the shows they air are anywhere from 6 months to 1 year old (ie: They finally start to Air Season X when BBC UK is airing Season X+1). I will ignore their Doctor Who reruns since I think SciFi Channel has first US Rights to them. I'd rather get BBCA but since CV refuses to carry it, I just get the shows via BitTorrent the day they air on BBC UK. BBCA is like NBC with their "New" Show Merlin (which is a 2008 BBC UK show that already completed its 13-episode run last year). |

 | If we applied the criteria mentioned above in all cases then we would have nothing; i.e. what you're saying is that BBCA is like every other cable channel. For example: "can someone tell me what's so good about Speed Channel, I can see auto racing on Fox if I want it", or "can someone tell me what's so good about ESPN, I don't really care about sports and what I do like is on ABC". |
