Indy | If the modem is blocking the ping the router cannot respond to the ping.
If you put the modem in bridge mode that will make the router pingable.
This is very strange the motorola blocks pings and lets everything else pass?? |

kudos:5 | Are you saying the modem is stopping the pings and not the router? I have no idea what "bridge mode" means. Well, I have heard the term, but don't know how to set it up.

I've noticed that some routers even when placed in bridge mode may retain some firewall settings if not disabled beforehand. |
