| [DIRECTV] About to get Directv, Some Questions Hi All,
Soon I plan to purchase a HDTV and of course need to feed it and DIRECTV is one of the very strong options. With the current promotion and my AAA discount it is very attractive. Currently I have Cable which has given me a good SD picture but prices for HD with a DVR box are quite high compared to satellite.
What is the HD picture quality like on DIRECTV?
What DVR box are they shipping these days?
How much recording time is there in the recorder , without adding an external drive?
What will be done for a standard ( free) install ? I want him to mount on the roof, go through the garage wall, pop into the unfinished basement, go up inside an existing hole from the basement entering a first floor wall cavity and come out an existing hole in the wall behind the TV which is on the first floor. This is the route my old Satellite feed took. It is about 75-100' long.
