Also, to be able to offer additional services like DOCSIS 3.0 some modems must be taken off the network. I think you will be pleased with your internet service performance after you swap out your modem. like i posted in the thread I linked to why retire the dlink when it is a Docsis 2.0 modem? He answered your question. That modem is an older model in which it will not reach the speeds available on the Cox network. Also, there has been a large push to get the non-DOCSIS 3 modems out as Cox prepares to launch DOCSIS 3 in the near future. |

| Yes it was a D2 modem.. must be they had alot of problems with that modem so they retired it from there support list. |
