KeepOnRockinMusic Lover ForeverPremium join:2002-11-08 Beaverton, OR | TPB was good while it lasted. I doubt the new owners will run the site like it has previously been run. It will probably slowly sufficate like Napster did.
Yet, as far as history can tell us, nothing lasts forever. Napster was sold and "corporatized", leaving just an empty shell of the service it used to be. Heck, it's now nothing like the service it originally was (not P2P these days).
There will be other P2P replacements that will come along. The "war on P2P" campaign is destined to fail like similar wars agaist ideals. Anyone remember the "war on drugs" or the "war on terror"? Those wars haven't exactly been won.
TPB was too famous for it's own good. |
